Bendigo Cinemas Community Arts Program

 
Bendigo Cinemas is pleased to support the Bendigo TAFE Visual Art Course & Bendigo art community by providing an area within the complex to display local artwork.

The artwork will be rotated monthly, allowing patrons to enjoy a variety of exciting new pieces.

This space promises to showcase a diverse range of artistic expression. Bendigo Cinemas will exhibit a range of art from, painting, drawing, photography, digital art and art that is capable on hanging on a flat wall.

The art will be showcased across 2 areas, 1 in the cinema hallway & the other adjacent to the Gold Class entrance.

We are able to show up to 12 works across these spaces, no larger than 61cm x 91cm per piece. Other layouts may work as long as they can fit within the area sizes which are in total; Area 1 – 137 cm height x 243 cm length & Area 2 – 173 cm width x 260cm height. Subject to approval.

• Are you a local Bendigo Artist?
• Have you got a body of work you would like to display?
• There is a current opportunity for an Artist to display their work from late July to late August.

Artists are requested to apply to the Bendigo Cinemas Community Arts Program via an online application here with expressions of interest now open.

Applications must be in by Wednesday 9th July.

Please either upload samples of work or provide a link where we can access a portfolio.

Terms and Conditions:

• Bendigo Cinema prides itself on being a family-friendly location, so the artist is to avoid potentially offensive subjects such as nudity, racism, obscenity, and violence etc.
• Artist is responsible for the delivery and pick up of their work.
• Although the Cinema will use its best endeavours in security and control, artwork will be displayed at the Artist’s risk. The Cinema will not cover risks including the display under its public liability and other insurance policies.
• Bendigo Cinemas will notify successful applicants within a 2 week period.
• Applications must be in by Wednesday 9th July.
