I was super excited to see that ACMI had on display props, sets and characters from Adam Elliot's new stop motion picture Memoir of a Snail which premiered during the Melbourne International Film Festival.
It takes you through the handmade locations such as Luna Park and Brunswick Street. As well as Grace's snail collection. You can see handmade features of some of the characters as well. There were also images from the story boards as well as a video to accompany the display with some behind the scenes footage through the creative process.
The photos don't do the details justice. This was a lovely surprise to see in person to the lead up of watching the film at the Star Cinema as part of the MIFF Regional screenings. There were even little bags if black jellybeans for sale from Lollies2Go to add to the experience.
