Oz: The Great and Powerful is a new look at the classic by L. Frank Baum, however this is a prequel about the wizard Oz { James Franco} and his story on arriving in Oz.
Oz first meets Theodora { Mila Kunis} who takes him to the Emerald City where he meets her sister Evanora { Rachel Weisz}, and the only way of becoming ruler he has to defeat the Wicked Witch. Oz has also found himself a friend in a flying monkey called Finley { Zach Braff}.
While on his path to find her he meets Glinda { Michelle Williams} and together they create an elaborate trick with use of his carnival magician skills to help take back the City of Oz.
The colors and visual effects are vibrant and gorgeous creating a very imaginative set for the story.
Oz: The Great and Powerful was released in Australian Cinemas today.
