Last Month: Sashiko Workshop

The Bendigo Art Gallery held a Sashiko workshop in January by Leanne O'Sullivan from the Kimono House in Melbourne as part of their Japanese Visions: Works from the Collection exhibition that was on show last month.

I went along with my mum and it proved very popular as they scheduled another workshop the next day. We were shown the basic technique which is used for strengthening and decorative purposes which we used to create a small design on a red draw string pouch.
