Snow White and the Huntsman brings a Brothers Grimm style adaptation to a beloved fairy-tale classic. It is a dark and somewhat creepy.

Snow White (Kristen Stewart) is left prisoner of Queen Ravenna (Charlize Theron) takes the thrown, before escaping the clasps of her brother. Chased into the Dark Forest, the Queen orders the Huntsman (Chris Hemsworth) to track her down and bring her the heart of Snow White.

Stewart does a good job as Snow but still appears a little flat especially during the scenes where the fairies live and meeting the gorgeous white stag. Hemsworth has his strong Celtic accent and axe wielding skills.

Theron is strong and cold hearted, perfect for her role as Queen and with amazing costuming by Colleen Atwood; a black tulle gown with crow skulls around the collar.

With an amazing end battle scene with horses stampeding along the beach front while dodging huge balls of fire from catapults. It is a must see also for the effects including the Troll that lives within the bridge.
